John.jpgJohn's experience is both broad and deep, with over thirty years of experience, he is very well qualified.  He's knowledgeable, personable and of the highest integrity.  Client needs come first in his design solutions.  Highly creative and yet practical.  His work has won numerous awards including the prestigious Designer of  Distinction, and a host of  Merit, and Appreciation Awards. His work has been published in a variety of magazines.

John also believes in service to the community, both personally and through professional affiliations.  He created the "No Place Like Home Project" to benefit Homeward Bound, (a Phoenix area shelter service), which combined professional designers and design students in the rehabilitation of over a dozen homes.  He has also taught business and design on a college level, served on curriculum advisory boards for ASU and SCC, and mentored numerous design students.  As a professional member of A.S.I.D. he createdJohn.jpg a study program for the  local chapter of A.S.I.D. to prepare others for the rigerous NCIDQ design professional testing program.  His program became one of several models for the study programs now offered on a national level.


Over thirty years of experience. Six years owned "Visions in Design" a retail store of custom furnishings and imports from around the world. Eight Years as Buyer and Director of Design for Nationally recognized Fine Furniture Gallery and Design Studio. Specialist in New Home Construction and Remodeling, Corporate and Medical  Offices. Product Design and Development consulting for furniture manufacturers. Extensive experience working with Craftsmen and Building Trades.

 

Education

Graduate of Arizona State University - 1973,

BFA in Environmental Design.  With extensive studies in business, social and behavioral sciences.
